We are a people committed to following Jesus, believing He is the source of life and the one who gives us purpose, belonging, and identity as we orient our lives around Him. Following the example of the early church, we believe God has called us into a mission bigger than ourselves—a sent people who carry the message of Jesus beyond our walls and into every part of our city and world, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

We are a church that feels like family – a place where you ‘re fully known, deeply loved, and empowered to grow and multiply.

Together, we raise up and send out pastors and everyday people to plant new family churches and bring the life of Jesus to the world.

what we believe

We believe true wholeness can be found by knowing God and enjoying Him forever. (Psalm 16:11; John 17:3; Westminster Catechism).

This happens when a person, by God’s grace, freely chooses to center their life on Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:9). A life centered on Jesus begins a journey into everlasting joy in three powerful ways:

You can discover your identity – In God alone, and through the work of Christ, you are saved and can become your true self. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20). There is spiritual warfare over your identity. We know how to win it.
You are welcomed into a family – Because of Jesus, we are part of a global, eternal family called the Church (Ephesians 2:19; Romans 12:5). Humanity wasn’t only lovingly made from a family (The Trinity), you were made for a family too. We know what “home” is.
You are made for a purpose – Through the light of Christ, we begin to see what is good and beautiful (Ephesians 2:10; Matthew 5:14–16). Even if your parents accidentally made you or you weren’t wanted, God wanted you and made you on purpose. We believe you have a reason to live and we believe we can help you find it.

Doctrine

Doctrine are the beliefs we hold on to as objective and unchanging truth. They are our anchor. We live in a world where truth often feels shaky or even subjective, we believe in real objective, God-given truth and we believe that truth can be known. (John 14:6; 2 Timothy 3:16–17). Our doctrine is made up of solid, unchanging truths revealed to us by God in Scripture, affirmed by the historic Church, and powerfully displayed in our lives today by the Holy Spirit. We fully believe God still moves today and He is working in your life now.

Three key ideas and the Apostles Creed guide us:

The Bible is true. Though there are many good books and human knowledge is evolving. We believe the core concepts of reason, purpose, morality and identity are all rooted in God and displayed to us in the Bible. What does it mean to be human? What is “good”? What is the purpose of everything? Why do I think about eternity? Why am I always unsatisfied? What is the purpose of my life? God, our creator, answered these and gave those answers to us throughout history and they are recorded in the poetry, history, theology and firsthand accounts of Jesus in the Bible. Therefore, we believe the Bible is the trustworthy and inspired Word of God. It is our foundational authority. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
The global and historical Church is how God is restoring the world and building His forever family today. Founded by Jesus and made up of all who follow Him (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47). The church isn’t made up of perfect people, but imperfect people who submit to Jesus and His teachings. A humble person, submitted to the Bible, participating in the community Jesus started, can be personally changed and help change the world for good.
The Holy Spirit is working in your life today. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you! (Romans 8:11) The Spirit is comforting, convicting, teaching and empowering you to become the most true and real version of yourself. The person God created you to be. (John 14:26; Romans 8:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5) You have a true identity and purpose. The Holy Spirit is powerfully helping you find and walk in them. The Spirt always echoes and animates the Truth of the Bible in the believer.

We also affirm the Apostles’ Creed as the unifying statement of faith the church has used though history. Church history is our history. The church fathers and mothers are our fathers and mothers. The church’s struggles, victories and places of growth are our struggles, victories and places of growth. This is the unifying creed that many Church fathers, mothers, pastors, priests, and scholars have landed on as the summary of what it means to be Christian. This is our core creedal statement.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

*‘Catholic’ means the whole Church, every believer, in every place, at every time.

Trinity is a safe place for you to meet with God in a community where you belong. Worshiping weekly helps us to know God personally and intimately.

STEP: ATTEND TRINITY WEEKLY

Discovering purpose and abundant life in Christ is a journey of life long discovery! Our Discover classes are offered as a way to help you in this journey. Our Discover Trinity class is a 2-week class offered 5 times a year as an opportunity for both new and long time attenders to learn about our mission and values, discover your spiritual gifts, and learn about our opportunities for getting more involved.

We also offer other Discover Classes throughout the year that cover various topics for additional opportunities of learning and growth. Check out our events page to see if there are any upcoming discover classes.

You weren’t created to do life alone. Our relationship with God comes
to life as we pursue him in community and live out our faith together.

God wants to work through you to reach people you know with the Gospel.
We are made to live SENT - to share Jesus and his love in our spheres of influence. Look for upcoming services on the events page.

STEP: ATTEND SENT GATHERINGS

Distinctives

Distinctives are beliefs we hold with sincerity, but also humility. If our doctrine is a closed hand, these are held more open. We believe them and practice them, but we know faithful Christians may disagree on many “in house” debatable topics (Romans 14:1–6; 1 Corinthians 13:12). This also means that we believe a church should submit to accountability. We are not an independent church. In the same way, even the best of humans go through seasons where they need the greater body of Christ for accountability, help and clarity. A local church can go through seasons where she needs the global church for accountability and clarity. Therefore, we are NOT an independent church. We believe in a local church submitting to accountability. The authority structure we are in is called The Wesleyan Church. This means everything from the churches use of finances to the pastor's doctrine are continually submitted in humility before the larger church. This also means accountability goes both ways. If the Wesleyan Church movement abandons the core doctrines (listed above) of the Bible and Church history, we will submit to another church movement for accountability and to wrestle with distinctives. We commit ALWAYS to adhere to the Bible and the agreed upon creedal statements from Church history.
